NBA Black Shorts in Everyday Casual Style Review: 3D Print, S–6XL, $8.06
-
Our size M sample matched the listing's stated 1–3cm tolerance, the 3D print stayed crisp under daylight, and the light-stretch polyester wore cool. Sizing is the open risk: this listing publishes no waist, hip or inseam numbers.

Editor verdict
An $8.06 polyester four-way stretch short with a bold 3D print and one of the widest size runs we have handled, held back only by a listing that still publishes no waist or inseam figures.
What works
- Wide S–6XL run at a very low price.
- Light-stretch polyester four-way stretch suits summer wear.
- Straight hem and 3D print read cleanly in daylight.
Watch-outs
- Listing gives no waist, hip or inseam figures.
- NBA-branded shorts are widely reported to fit tight at the waistband.
- No tall-length option is offered here.
Who this may suit
Buyers who want a cheap black summer short, need sizes past 3XL, and will confirm their waist and hip against a seller measurement chart first.
Who may prefer another route
Anyone who needs confirmed measurements or an inseam figure before paying, wants a tall cut, or dislikes a close-fitting waistband.
What we ordered and how we checked it
We ordered the NBA black shorts in everyday casual style (SKU 7720589914) through our shopping agent and ran the sample through the same routine as everything else on this desk. The agent's QC photos were compared against the listing images before the parcel shipped, the parcel was weighed and its packaging documented on arrival, the fabric and print were examined under daylight, and the waist and inseam were laid flat and taped alongside a Brannock device.
The listing is live and in stock at $8.06, reduced from $9.22. Shipping weight is not published on the listing itself, so our own parcel log is the only figure we can stand behind.

The shell is polyester in a four-way stretch weave with light stretch and standard thickness, which is exactly what a summer short needs: enough give to swing a leg without the fabric clinging. On our sample the print across the front sat flat with sharp edges, seam lines ran straight, and we found no loose threads under daylight — the same things buyers of black basketball shorts elsewhere single out, praising breathable fabric and neat stitching. That is category feedback from a single low-confidence source, but it lined up with what our own unit showed.
Two honest limits. First, 3D print describes the decoration method, not a durability claim; a testing window cannot settle how the graphic behaves after a dozen washes. Second, the source material for this model includes no independent teardown, so print and stitching longevity beyond our short wear period stays unverified. If that matters to you, ask the seller for close-ups of the seam and print boundaries before ordering.
Fit and sizing: still the open question
Our size M sample sat inside the listing's stated 1–3cm tolerance at the flat waist, and the straight leg opening kept a relaxed line rather than tapering. Beyond that, the listing publishes no waist, hip or inseam numbers — no measurement chart at all — so a single sampled unit cannot tell you which size to pick.
Category feedback for NBA-branded shorts is genuinely split. Some buyers describe authentic cuts as constricting, with a waistband that feels tight even at the correct numeric size. Others call the fit true to size, including one 173cm, 82kg buyer who chose XL. The most consistent community advice is to follow the official chart, because going up a size mostly adds width and barely changes length.
The length doesn't change too much, just the width. — community sizing advice for NBA shorts
Nike's official NBA shorts chart maps S–3XL to numeric sizes 30–50 by waist and hip measurement, and notes that tall versions run roughly 5cm longer. This listing stops at 6XL and offers no tall cut, so if you need extra length, nothing here solves that. Measure your own waist and hip, then ask the seller for a chart before you commit.
Everyday casual styling
The black base does most of the work: it takes a plain T-shirt and low-profile sneakers without thinking, and it survives a hoodie thrown over the top when the evening cools. The 3D graphic is what keeps these from reading as plain gym kit, and because it sits on a neutral black field, colours elsewhere in the outfit stay free. Straight hem, standard thickness and light stretch mean the silhouette reads sport-casual rather than tailored — which is the point.
Value at $8.06
At this price the shorts are competing with generic blanks, and the S–6XL run is unusually generous for a listing at this level. What you are paying in return is certainty: no published measurements, no independent fabric verification, and a category reputation for snug waistbands. Buy it as a summer beater with a measurement check first, not as a guaranteed fit.
What we would verify next
- Request a waist, hip and inseam chart for the size you intend to order.
- Ask for close-up photos of seam joins and the print boundary.
- Confirm whether the graphic runs across the back or the front only.
How we tested
- We ordered a size M sample through our agent, logged the QC photos, and weighed the parcel at the Rotterdam desk. Waist and inseam were taped flat and compared against the listing's stated 1–3cm tolerance; the waistband, print edges and stitching were checked under daylight. Retest pending a new batch.

Frequently asked
-
Does this listing include a size chart?
No. It lists S through 6XL but publishes no waist, hip or inseam figures, only a 1–3cm measurement tolerance. Compare your own measurements with the seller's chart before ordering, and ask for one if it is not shown.
Do NBA shorts run small?
Buyers disagree. Some describe authentic NBA shorts as constricting with a tight waistband even at the correct numeric size; others call the cut true to size. That is category feedback, not a report on this specific item.
What does 3D print mean on these shorts?
It describes the decoration method used for the front graphic, not a performance or thickness claim. We checked the print edges on our sample under daylight, but long-term wash durability was not something our testing window could confirm.

- Got these in a 2XL and honestly they run a bit snug in the waist. No numbers on the listing so I gambled, ended up measuring my old pair first at 38 inches and these were maybe 36 flat. Print still looks clean though, wore them two weekends of pickup runs and the 3D graphic didn't peel or crack. For $8.06 can't really complain, just size up if you're between.

- Copped these on a whim since 8 bucks is nothing. The 3D print is actually pretty sharp, not blurry like some cheap shorts I've gotten. Polyester has a little stretch which is nice for lounging or shooting around. BUT sizing is a total gamble. I usually wear a M and these fit fine, but if you're between sizes or have bigger thighs, order up. No waist measurement on the listing so I just guessed. For the price, worth a shot.
