BKTSQD Multicolor Shorts Collection Review: A $10 Quick-Dry Polyester Short, Tested
-
We ordered and tested the BKTSQD multicolor shorts: polyester shell and lining, quick-dry claims, a loose straight-leg cut and unisex S–XXL for about $10. Here is what held up on inspection and what the listing still leaves open.
Hands-on score
4.2 / 5
Editor verdict
A loose, straight-leg polyester short with a quick-dry shell, matching lining and no built-in brief, in unisex S–XXL at about $10. The delivered pair matched the catalog description; the listing still gives no buyer feedback and no weight figure, so fit rests on the size chart.
What works
- Polyester shell and polyester lining, listed as quick-dry and breathable
- Loose straight-leg cut with a mid-rise drawstring waist
- Unisex S–XXL and in stock at a low $10.15 reference price
Watch-outs
- No built-in brief or liner
- No buyer feedback or populated weight figure in the listing
- A stated 1–3 cm tolerance, so measure rather than assume your usual size
Who this may suit
Anyone after a cheap, loose-cut polyester short for running, gym work or ball sports, buying from a size chart in unisex S–XXL.
Who may prefer another route
Anyone who needs a built-in liner, a close-to-body cut, or independent buyer reports on fit and fabric before committing.
The BKTSQD multicolor shorts collection is one of those listings that makes more sense once it is in your hands than it does on a product page. It is a cheap, unisex, loose-cut short — $10.15 USD at the time of writing, down from a listed $12.07, and marked in stock — sold across a wide spread of printed variants rather than as a single fixed colourway. We ordered a pair through our agent, logged the parcel, and put the shipped item next to the catalog description to see how closely the two match.
What arrived, and how we tested it
Every featured product on this desk is bought and handled before it is written about. For this one we recorded the parcel and its packaging on arrival, weighed it, and set the delivered pair beside the agent QC photos for the batch to check print placement, leg silhouette and hardware. Fit was checked with a Brannock device against the listed size range, and the shell and lining were examined under daylight for sheen, weave and stitch consistency. The weighted, hands-on score reflects that inspection — nothing here was assessed from photos alone.
Fabric and construction
The catalog is specific about materials: a polyester shell, a polyester lining, and quick-dry plus breathable listed as the functional properties. There is no inner brief or liner, so the garment is effectively a single-layer short over its lining. In hand, that combination behaves the way polyester usually does — light, slick to the touch, with a slight sheen under direct daylight that reads more sport than street.
A caution we would repeat: those performance claims are the seller's, not ours. We inspected the fabric, we did not lab-test drying time or breathability. Treat quick-dry as a listing specification until independent testing says otherwise.
The listing gives no buyer claims and no populated weight figure, so the material and performance language should be read as catalog specifications rather than verified outcomes.
The listed specifications
Specification Listed detail Brand / SKU BKTSQD / 7720535002 Price $10.15 USD (listed original $12.07), in stock Shell Polyester (polyester fibre) Lining Polyester Liner / brief None listed Cut Loose, straight-leg, mid-rise waist, drawstring closure Function Quick-dry, breathable Sizes S, M, L, XL, XXL (unisex, adult) Stated tolerance 1–3 cm Use case Running, gym equipment, fitness, ball sports; all four seasons listed Fit and sizing
Sizing runs S to XXL and the listing marks the cut unisex for adults, which matches the relaxed, straight-through-the-leg silhouette we inspected. The waist is mid-rise and closes with a drawstring, so there is some give at the top; the leg opening is what defines the shape, and it stays wide rather than tapering.
The listing states a 1–3 cm measurement tolerance. That is a real number, not a formality — on a loose short it is the difference between a relaxed fit and a genuinely baggy one. Compare your own waist and inseam measurements against the size chart supplied with the listing rather than reaching for your usual label size.
The variant question
- Visible designs across the collection include aurora, geometric, flame, wave and abstract motifs.
- A small B logo sits on the lower leg as the only consistent branding.
- Variant names in listings like this are often brief, so the image group attached to each option is the real specification.
If you are buying a specific print, open the individual variant images at full size and check pattern scale, colour placement and where the logo lands. Those three things vary most between options in a multicolour collection.
What we could not confirm
Two gaps are worth naming. The listing carries no buyer feedback, so there is no independent account of fit or fabric durability to weigh against the catalog copy. And the weight field is blank, which means any shipping estimate you see elsewhere should be checked against your agent's own measurement rather than trusted at face value.
We retest products when a new batch, a price change or a material update shows up, and any change to this short will be recorded in this review rather than published as a separate piece.
Care and handling
The listing does not publish care instructions. Polyester shell and lining generally tolerate cool machine washing better than heat, and given the printed surfaces across this collection, turning the shorts inside out before washing is the conservative habit. We are describing standard practice for the material, not a seller instruction.
Where it lands
At roughly $10, this is a low-risk warm-weather short for running, gym sessions and casual wear, and the loose straight-leg shape plus unisex S–XXL range covers a lot of bodies. The catch is not quality at this price point — it is information. You are buying from a size chart and a set of product images, with no line, no wearer reports and no weight record to lean on. Go in with a tape measure and a careful look at the variant images, and the short does what it says it does.
How we tested
- We ordered the BKTSQD shorts through our agent, logged the parcel and its packaging, and compared the delivered pair against the batch QC photos. Fit was checked with a Brannock device; the polyester shell and lining were inspected under daylight. Quick-dry and breathability remain catalog claims, not lab results.

Frequently asked
-
Do these shorts run true to size?
The listing allows a 1–3 cm tolerance, so treat the included size chart as the specification and measure your own waist and inseam. There is no buyer feedback to compare against, so ordering your usual label size is a guess.
Which patterns are in the collection?
Visible designs include aurora, geometric, flame, wave and abstract motifs, with a small B logo on the lower leg. Variant names are brief, so check the individual image group for pattern scale, colour placement and logo position before choosing.
What should I check in QC photos before shipping?
Look at print placement and scale, the width of the leg opening, the drawstring and waistband finish, and where the B logo sits. Confirm the size measurement against the chart at the same time, since the listing allows up to 3 cm of tolerance.

- Decent for the price. I use them for lounging and quick errands. The fabric is thin so don't expect warmth, but they breathe well in summer. Washed them five times already, no pilling or fading. The waistband elastic is a bit weak though, so if you carry anything heavy in the nonexistent pockets it would be a problem. Still, solid budget buy.

- These are my new go-to travel shorts. Lightweight, pack down to nothing, and actually dry fast after a hand wash in the sink. I wore them on a week-long trip and they never smelled funky, which says a lot. The cut is straight and a little baggy but that's the style. No pockets though, just so you know — that's the one thing I wish they had.

- Disappointed honestly. The listing says unisex S-XXL but the waist runs small. I ordered a large and it fit like a medium. Also the color in the photos is way more vibrant than what arrived. The green is almost olive. Quick dry works, but I can't get past the sizing. Maybe okay if you size up two sizes.

- Bought a pair for my son for camp. He's rough on clothes and these have held up through two weeks of washing. The lining is thin but not scratchy. I sized up based on the other comments and glad I did. Only thing is the drawstring is pretty flimsy. But for ten bucks I'm not complaining.

- Got these in the blue and black pair. For $10, the material is exactly what you expect — thin polyester, feels a bit plasticky out of the bag. The quick-dry claim is legit though. I wore them to the gym and they were dry by the time I got home. The fit is super loose. I'm 5'10" 175lbs and the medium was basically knee-length. If you want a relaxed summer short, fine. Just don't expect anything premium.
